"Thanks,
Smooth, for finding a clever alternative." Runner's World One
thing we've always found tough about treadmills is fumbling for the speed button
- especially when you're trying to slow down after a fast repeat. Thanks, Smooth,
for finding a clever alternative: To control the speed of the EVO, you simply
wave your hand over a light beam on the handrail. Sounds
crazy, but it works. In our tests, it was easy to bump the speed up or down with
one wave, or to go from a slow jog to race pace by hovering a hand over the light
beam for 5 seconds. Need to stop quickly? Just move your hands over both handrail
beams at the same time. Another
plus: The EVO can display distance, time and pace (minutes per mile) simultaneously,
a must-have feature that's all-too rare on many treadmills. |
